Hello, I have noticed a problem with our machine which started a bit ago, but doesn't happen all the time. When you press the arrow key to move the machine, it doesn't mover right away. When if does, it will move more then expected from the time I let go of the key. I suspect that its a delayed signal and the amount the machine is moving is based on how long I had the key down. So it will delay starting to move but will continue to move equal to the time I had the key down. Anyone have this issue before or know what I should start to look at to resolve this. The machine is an Avid bench top machine with there controller setup. Machine has worked fine and nothing has changed, besides maybe a few windows updates. Its just odd because it only happens once in awhile.

If you have a PC on which Mach 3 works great Don't ever update the PC.

Hi,
there are two modes for jogging:

1) Incremental mode, this is where every time you press the button the machine will move one increment, whatever the current increment is set to, but commonly 0.01mm or 0.1mm or 0.5mm
or whatever, its programmable
2) Velocity mode, this is where the machine moves at the prevailing jog rate for as long as you hold the button. Note that sometimes Mach gets a backlog of moves and may carry on a little while
until that backlog is consumed.
