    Need help from "electronic types"

Hello All, I found this opto-output board, http://www.futurlec.com/DC_Opto_Output_8.shtml
but I don't know enough about it to know if it would work to opto-isolate my computer or not. Could someone take a look at it and advise? Thanks, Jack

On the surface it would appear they do provide isolation, but I would need a bit more info if I was using them, i.e. It seems they are either Input types or Output types, not combined.
Looks like IDC (ribbon cable) for input, this means it may be tricky to hook up to a parallel port directly without some wiring/customising of some sort.
If someone has already used them, they may be able to clear that up, but really a schematic of some kind would help.

Thanks for your reply Al. I've done a little more research and I think the CandCNC, MINI-IO-2 is what I need. Jack
