    Lathe - internal facing tools?

Hiya guys, I'm looking for a tool which will allow me to plunge into the face of a part, and create a hole ready for boring. Perhaps a V tipped cutter, but with extra clearance beneath the tip, so the bottom doesn't rub on the part. I would take a file to my precious toolholders, but I am worried since I have no experience here.

    Kong,

Are you referring to a trepanning operation? Check out Iscar tools.

First you get good, then you get fast. Then grouchiness sets in.

(Note: The opinions expressed in this post are my own and are not necessarily those of CNCzone and its management)
