I haven't used either but it seems that discs you can keep forever are somewhat more valuable than a 90 day subscription...

3 axis surfacing but not advanced surfacing toolpath for 4 and 5 axis.

If you are looking to learn surfacing toolpath with Mastercam there is no better place to start than with his surfacing video. I doubt you will ever find anyone who is unhappy with his product.

This most likely not to happen as he does not make any new Mastercam video's any more as he is a Edgcam dealer now.

What do you want for Advance videos Mastercam User?
Give me a few suggestions and did you get all of mikes Videos all ready?

Is there anyone that at one time or another that CNC Software does not screw over or not really appreciate the value of? Cimco, Mike Mattera, etc.? Do not bother to answer. It’s rhetorical question.

I do not have every single one of the videos because I use another program for CAD because I dislike Mastercam solids.

I am not sure why you want my suggestions for advanced videos? Are you planning on filling the gap that is left because Mike Mattera will not do anymore Mastercam videos? If you are when would you be looking to start making them?

(Is there anyone that at one time or another that CNC Software does not screw over or not really appreciate the value of?) I am not sure were you get your info. Do you have a problem with CNC software. you say don't answer but you throw out crap like this.Sorry if you don't like solids you have been asking about Cam side.

I get my info from talking with CNC Software employees about issues I have with Mastercam and with CNC Software. I have made it very clear that CNC Software squandered a great resource in Mike Mattera and that they did not appreciate what Mike Mattera brought to the table training wise.

Will you be answering the questions I asked you above?

Well I don't know what mike did as I never seen them, as for why I was asking what you wanted you keep asking all over the place for what looks like Horz programming and I am trying to get an idea what YOU are missing that may help you. but if you just want to ask to make some I do not have a exact date as I looking at allot of thinks I want to cover. As I do ask my customers and my students what they want to see along with basics.

Since you sell Mikes videos just pick up where Mike left off. Plenty of tool pathing left to cover that Mike didn\'t get around to covering. Do an advanced rotary and contour video. That should be popular as many more shops are seeing the advantages of using a horizontal with pallets instead of several VMC. Seems like every week there are questions on transforming toolpath, etc on the e-mastercam board.

Mastercam User: Thanks for the endorsement. I'm glad people are getting a lot from my videos. I did want to do more videos, but CNC software is not interested. I dont want to blow my own horn, but people have told me that my videos are the best training they've ever seen on any product. I really appreciate comments like that. It's always good to know when you've done something right. Thanks to everyone who has recommended my CD's and purchased them throughout the years.

I get 3-4 calls every week for additional Mastercam training. People want Lathe, Wire EDM, the new 3D surfacing paths and more detailed Solid Modeling. So Mastercam has more customers who dont fully use their software and my knowledge & skills are wasted by not being able to share with others.

As for your other question (yes I know it was rhetorical,but...): No! They manage to screw over quite a number of talented Mastercam sales/applications people. And because of that, these people are forced to look at other avenues to make a living. At a training class this week, I met a very talented ex-Mastercam 5X guy, that now sells Edgecam. Of the 9 people in this class, 4 of them previously did sales/applications for Mastercam dealers.

Mastercam X/X2 CD's are still available.

    Mike,
Back in the early days CNC didn't shun out the talented Mastercam sales/applications people. And they sure didn't want talented Mastercam sales/applications people going to the competition. But we all have to feed our families I think I'm safe to say Mastercam is not the only software that is out. Call me when you need an extra set of hands, I maybe be willing to help restructure our area here in the midwest.
