    Okuma IGF Programing

It's been quite some time since I used IGF on Okumas. What I'm having trouble with is going from a straight cut to a radius or angle that leads to a radius or angle. It seems I get an error message all the time. Help!

Leave the "Z" end point empty...

    Good luck,

I'm working off memory here... Try not inputting an end point. IGF will calculate that for you as long as you have the radius called out. If it doesn't, check your IGF parameter's.

Let us know how things turn out.

When using IGF Make sure the cutter comp is set rite.If you have a .030 rad. in the corner the machine will alarm telling you tool nose radius is wring in nrc.So turn your part whithout programing the .030 radius in that corner. This only applies to fillet radius that is smaller then the radius on the tool. When you finish your profile with a .015nose radius you can insert the.030 radius with that tool. thanks ,
    Hope that helps Rich
