Does anyone have any advice on how to set up a vertical lathe machine. Having issues with setting up different tools and work offsets and where to touch the tools off on the part. Using a Youji .
Also, does anyone have any advice on learning to read programs better?

As far as this goes, if you can get a print out of a program you are currently running and start analyzing what it is doing. Get the manual and go through the various codes and make notes as to what they are and what the program does. Do this to numerous programs and keep notes and you will start to learn it well.
