    Need help with euro conversion

I am needing to do what is called a Euro conversion of my hawk 5M. Got he head off and the motor sliding pulley was wiped out where the key was riding against it causing a big wobble. So I have decided to remove the variable drive and replace it with timing belt components and a VFD. At this point do I over speed the motor or run it 2 to 1 to get at least 3600 rpm. Does anybody have one of these conversions and know the pulley and belt numbers. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I used 1.5:1 on mine. Been working fine for years. 2:1 loses too much torque, 1.5:1 is about right and gives you a good speed range. I run mine at about 10 to 90 Hz.

Hey Jim thanks for the reply. I plugged in the numbers for the 1.5:1 and everything is great for my c/c distance. That's what I'm going with.

    thanks again for the help!!
