How do we get absolute to Zero??

    Hi all

We've just inherited a Fanuc OM Quattromill. Thanks to this forum we're getting it up and running but...

We can't get absolute to zero. We've got the machine and relative both zeroed but so far we've not figured out the absolute and obviously can't start it up as we're getting a 'zero machine' error.

The manual says 'consult and expert', so any ideas??

    Thanks!

Is there an alarm number? When do you get this "zero machine" error?

If you've got machine and relative both zeroed, then you must have been able to perform a Zero Return, right?

The absolute position may be showing the position in the G54 Work Coordinate System. Can you MDI any commands, such as G00 G90 G54 X0 Y0?
