    Wooden gears

    Hi Folks
We obtained Artcam 2013 10 years ago to produce badges for our members.
I have forgotten how to use it so hopingb someone can help.
My project is to cut wooden gears for a ropemaking machine.
I have images of the gears required but cannot work out how to get these into Artcam as a model.
The larger gear has internal teeth (26) and the smaller gears have external teeth (6)
All help, video links etc much appreciated

I've cut gears and use Fusion 360. There's a built-in script that makes it very easy. I also have Carveco which grew out of ArtCAM but I have no idea how to do this in that program.

What kind of images do you have. Artcam can import many types of images

I don't think ArtCAM is the best program for making mechanical parts like gears. It is primarily intended for artistic reliefs, as the name suggests. Since you don't remember how to use it anyway, I'd suggest spending your time learning another program better suited for the task.

In the Design tab choose Utilities at the top, then Add-Ins dropdown, choose Scripts and Add-Ins, in the dialogue box scroll to the bottom and choose the bottom Spur Gear. From there follow the screen prompts.
