Hi There,

We recently purchased a Takisawa TC30 and it was used for production of what seems to be cast iron.

I have rebuilt the coolant pump but found the coolant supply issue is in the Turret coolant paths.

has anyone dealt with cleaning the coolant passages ?

Cast iron can be a disaster for coolant galleries, also the pump impeller which can look ok but be reduced in diameter by cast iron powder, reducing its efficiency. Check the impeller diameter is correct for the pump.

Check that the in line check valve isn't stuck partly closed or stuck further reducing flow, delaying coolant to the turret tool.
Remove all the pipes and blow them through.
With pipe disconnected from the back of the turret, index to each turret position and blow backwards from the turret end to clear the cast iron debris.
Reconnect everything and run a flushing agent through the system.
Test again.
