Hi,

After building this big CNC router in the past I decided to move on.

And that's how this bad boy came to life:





It is a highly customizable single axis, "mostly 3D printed" sinker EDM with a custom software and touchscreen.

It has many options to fine tune the process.


It currently runs on a single ESP32 but this may change to a quad-core NanoPi Neo to support 4 axis later. Also a wire EDM module will be added after the final design for the X and Y xis is done.


The final control panel will look different from what is shown in the video. The PSU for the steppers will be included in the 19" rack later.

A lot of time has passed and a lot of things have change. The single axis sinker EDM is now a fully 3 axis EDM CNC that can do sinker EDM, EDM engraving, Drilling and also Wire EDM.
