Tree Journeyman 210 with EX-CELL-O spindle

I acquired a Tree Journeyman 210 with EX-CELL-O spindle and can't find any details on the JM 210 and not sure how to identify the EX-CELL-O head. Any help would be appreciated. More than likely will do a retrofit.

Is this the same as the Vari-speed fitted to the EX-CELL-O mills?

Curious if that has a Dynapath 10AM on it? A Tree 220 was my first CNC mill. Super helpful to not have to worry about programming the Z xis when you're a total newb to programming.

How many axis is this 210? How about a couple pictures?

...the only things 3 Phase are Spindle and coolant pump most likely. And I'll bet the Dynapath still works and if it does not most likely DC Power Supply. Can be replace with a cheap AT or ATX PC Power supply. The Video CRT is VGA and if its not working easy to replace. Servo Dymics 1525 Axis drives most likely still work so, depending on what you want to do with the machine a retrofit is a big adventure to finish, Do some testing will tell you want to do...for sure.

    Good Luck,

I was a service tech on Tree for a few years, but never saw an ex cello head on a journeyman that I recall. I can only assume it was a retro fit to give more cutting power through the gearbox and an incremental downfeed.

I don't think the quill/ spindle looks so different from standard. I think with a quill spindle bearing rebuild, a spindle motor with drive could be fitted relatively easily. But of course there would be no downfeed if removed.

Perhaps, remove the head, rebuild it and run as is ?
