Production says oxy is scarring thick plate after transitioning

I am a CAD designer and not super well versed in CNC terminology. The production team tells me that when burning thick plate [3" +]when the torch leaves one plate and goes to start another burn, the torch will leave a scar in its path that they later have to fill in with weld. I am hoping to find more info on where to begin to fix this issue. What should i be looking for on the software end to prevent this? We use Pro-nest to create cnc files and the machine uses ESAB Vision 5. I am hoping someone can further school me on the terminology used to search the manuals/settings.

    THANKS!!

A few pix are worth allot.
show us a screen shot of the nest, and then a pix of the actual cutting damage.
