Hi all,
I have seen many posts on numerous forums of people talking about Fanuc FSSB (Fanuc Servo Serial Bus) and trying to hack it, but not getting far or stopped responding.
I am undertaking a project where it would help massively if we could just use the stock Fanuc servo amps instead of replacing all motors and amps or whatever.
I have found and purchased a connector that fits the Fanuc one. (Link for people curious, https://au.mouser.com/ProductDetail/...2F%252Bg%3D%3D )
I have also made the circuit up to match so I can transmit and receive light.
I plugged the receiver into a Fanuc robot in place of the 7th axis then hooked up an oscilloscope. I did see what appeared to be data, I haven't done too much with scopes but know the very basics and feel I can identify when there is communication happening and when there is not.
I don't have any photos or videos, but I can get some if need be.
Just curious if anyone has decoded the FSSB protocol or made any headway with it.
Thanks,
Jack
