    MB-46VBE OSP-P100M Battery question

My control runs Windows XP and has a battery connected to the front of the PC in the cabinet. If this battery is unplugged with the power off, will I lose parameters? If the parameters are stored within XP, it doesn't make sense that anything would be lost except for maybe time and date. I just wanted to verify this with the experts. I was hoping to pull the hard-drive, clone it and maybe install a Solid State Drive.

    Thanks in advance!

The idea of hdd cloning is great. Replacement with SSD - yes.
I would't touch the battery, however. It's highly likely, that it is connected to Okuma unit ( separate machine control ). I don't believe that machine parameters are sitting somewhere in Windows. Windows and PC is just for convenient interfacing and file management. Control of the machine is done by Okuma unit.
