    solid edge newbie

    Im trying to download some of my cad files of my purchased hardware... for my cnc design

    im a solide edge.... newbie... I found 3 drawing types...
    dont know which to use...


    IGS,MI,STP for 3d drawing plz...help

    solid model file

    I would use the .Iges file format.

    im used to the old days of autocad...need to play with solid edge

    can u quickly explame what iges format is? im guess it a 3d drawing?

    File type

    a .Iges file is a solid modeling file that most 3D Cad systems can load. In other words a person with Solid Edge and load a .Iges file made from a Solid Works file.
