Parameter 3708 and bit 0 (sar)

    Hi
I have a Daewoo h63 machine tool with 18 Fanuc control system.
In normal mode, there is no movement with g01 when the spindle motor stops.
But when the gear shift shaft becomes defective and the mechanical connection between the spindle and the spindle motor is interrupted.
The spindle motor is rotating but the spindle is stopped.
Therefore, the machine tool does machining without rotating the spindle and causes the tool failure.
Why does the machine tool only notice the movement of the motor and does not give an alarm to stop the spindle?

Because the feedback signal is from the Spindle motor, not from the chuck.
If the spindle motor is running, then the CNC system will think the spindle is functioning.

    Hi
How can I change the feedback path to chuck?
Does fanuc 18-m control system have this capability?
Do I need to change the parameters or do I need to edit the PMC program?

Usually there is also an optic encoder attached to the spindle by a small belt or an BZI sensor that reads a disk
I do not know if you have already one and maybe was broken and someone bypass it by disable parameters for it
What do you have on parameter 4002?

    Hi
My machine has an optical encoder and its rotation ratio to the chuck is one to one. It also shows the real speed on the screen..
All bits of parameter 4002 are equal to zero..
    4002=00000000

When all bits on parametr 4002 are 0-that means the position of the spindle is not controlled
do you have a spindle monitor screen where you should see the motor rpm and spindle rpm if are the same

The machine has 3 gears and the gear ratio is 1 to 11, 1 to 3 and 1 to 1.
I can see the spindle and motor speed on the screen.

i am guessing that the optical encoder attached to spindle is disabled
if it is alpa position coder ,must be parameter 4002 bit 2 enabled
if it is alpha-i position coder ,must be parameter 4002 bit 1 enabled

I set parameter 4002 equal to 00000100 and also set equal to 4002=00000010. And I tested. There is still a problem.
    Shouldn't another parameter be changed?

    Hi
I changed the parameters of 4002, 4003 and 4022 in different ways. But none of them were effective. Please guide me further. Is it necessary to edit the PMC program?
