This is a procedure for the password reset but does not have the software
Re-setting A2100 Passwords to the Factory Default Settings
This procedure is valid for A2100 controls with both release 2 and release 3 software versions.
To reset the A2100 security level passwords to the factory default settings, complete the following steps:
1) Obtain the file "Passwrd.bck" from Cincinnati Machine customer service.
2) Insert a floppy disc containing the file "Passwrd.bck" into the floppy drive A.
3) Touch [Tools]
4) Touch [Copy Table]
5) Touch [ From Backup File]
6) A window will pop up that states: "Warning!" This is OK.
7) Touch [Restore (green checkmark)]
8) Select [All Operations Data]
9) Enter "A:Paswrd.bck" into the "from file" field.
10) Touch [Start Restore]
When the Restore operation has completed, reboot the control to make the changes take effect.
If a floppy drive is unavailable on the machine, the following information can be edited in the machine data backup file, M1Y-????.bck. (???? = last 4 digits of the A2100 control serial number). The control security must be set to at least the Runoff level to be able to edit this file.
The backup file is located on the A2100 control's "C" drive in the "Mustang/User" directory. Open the M1Y backup file from the command window using Windows Notepad (type "notepad" at the dos command prompt). Then search for "SecurityData" and edit the file to read as follows:
SecurityData
LastPassword=3006313228
PasswordData[0]=0 288166188 312545951 320279316 \
287314204 279580837 0
Once the security data has been edited, save the file and exit the command window. Touch the Machine dependant data backup and restore applet and complete a data restore from the edited backup file.
