I am building my own XYZ Plasma Cutting rig, and I am stuck... for some time now... trying to get my Galil 2183 controller wired correctly with my Baldor TSD-050-05-2-U Servo Drives…and from the Galil 2183 controller to the Baldor MK-2250 DC Servo Motors....It's the pinout terms used on the Galil vs Baldor components . I need help with the +-10V motor control signal from the Galil to the Baldor Drive and not sure how to wire the pins 1,2

I've attached a pic of the current layout I have configured..... it doesn't work. the motor does not accept simple move commands...

You may have a problem there. It looks like the +/-10V input needs to be a differential input, the Galil only outputs a single ended +/- 10V command signal, with a differential signal as a factory installed option.

Look in the Baldor documentation and see of the drive will accept a single ended signal and how to configure it.

UPDATE !!!

I replaced the Baldor TSD Drives with something *newer*! I am going with Advanced Motion Controls 12A8M servo drives. Here's the updated schematic. I have Galil GDK tuning software working with this configuration. Tuning the drive POTS are a pain, but better on the AMC, rather than the very dated Baldor TSD approach, POTS are not an exact science I must say ... a little rough science...
