    Upgrade issue

    Guys,
    Followed the upgrade instructions:

Backed up the version 433 directory.
Downloaded and installed the 510 version to the default directory.
Copied all files in the 433 Data directory and pasted into the 510 Data directory.
Ran the new KMotion.exe 510 application.

    The following message appears:

    Error Status Record Size Mismatch.

    Clicked Yes.

    The following message appears:

    Read Failed - Auto Disconnect.

    Clicked OK.

    Stuck.

    Please advise,

    Ted

Did you open kmotion.exe go to the configuration and flash screen and flash the new version into k-flop?

    bhurts,
    Can't proceed. KMotion disconnected.

    Launch KMotion 433.
Title bar text: KMotion - Connected.

    Click USB Locations tab.
    Text: Board 0 @ 0x12.

    Launch version 510
Error Status Record Size Mismatch message appears
    Disable future status updates?
    Click Yes.

    Title bar just reads KMotion.

    Tab text is USB/IP Locations.
    Click this tab.
    First line text: KFLOP 0x12.
    Second line test: Manual IP.

    Re: Upgrade issue

Have you updated the driver for the new version? I believe you would go to windows devices and find k-flop under usb. Select update driver and select the new one from kmotion 510. Not sure if that will help but that is what I would try next. If you don't get any better replies in the next day or so I will try upgrading one of my machines to 510 and let you know how it goes.

    Re: Upgrade issue

After firmware flash and power cycle the console still returns version 4.33.
    Not 510.
    Frustrating.

    Re: Upgrade issue

The error message suggests a mismatch between the data format expected by version 510 and the existing data from version 433. Check the KMotion documentation or online resources for information on data format changes between versions.
