    Language barrier - Live tooling?

    Hi.
The expression "Live tooling" isn't making any sence to me.
Can someone explain it to me?

I will take you at your word, and assume you are asking a legitimate question. Tools on a lathe are normally stationary (don't move). A lathe with "Live tooling" option has holders that allow the turret to drive the tool (the tool moves, thus it is live?).

    Thank you, both.
I only knew the function of live tooling as driven tools.
