I'm looking at buying a 1993 VF-2 from an auction for a good price. It does has 4th axis drive and wiring, but no 4th axis. Would this machine come with the drive/wiring if it did not have the 4th axis option enabled? I checked with my HFO but they are only able to check machine S/N's going back to 1994. I've yet to hear back from Haas if they can provide more information.

Reason I am asking is that I have an old 4th axis that will work on this machine. I'm unable to get power to the machine to check anything out on it.

This is probably long after the auction ended but, for future reference: I have some old Haas brochures and apparently--yes--they used to include the 4th axis wiring. I'm not sure what year that ended. It looks like all of the plastic cabinet machines had it. I also have a brochure for the early VF-3 with the rubber edged windows. That also says it comes prewired for 4th axis.

Thanks for the reply. I was able to get a photo of the electrical cabinet and saw the 4th drive inside, and took the gamble. It indeed was 4th axis ready.
Would love to see the brochure on these old machines!
