I have a Mori Seiki MV40-B (1987-88 year) mill that was working fine. Using it to drill and tap M8 threads, nothing heavy.
It suddenly stopped in the middle of a tool change. It put the correct tool in the spindle but the pot did
not go up. I know how to fix that, but I have a bigger problem.
All the servos are off. I can turn the control on but then I get the following: Alarm 280 - Machine Unready. 310 - Servo Off 311 - X Servo Unready 312 - Y Servo Unready 313 - Z Servo Unready and also User Message 101:Power off during ATC Cycle.
Has anyone encountered these codes before?
Does anyone know how to clear the codes?
Pushing RESET removes them momentarily but they come back.
What caused it and what do I look for?
I was standing next to the machine and the power did not go off in the shop.
I suspect it is an EMERGENCY STOP situation, due to the fact all the servos turned off and none of them will come on.
None of the axis are on the Over Travel Limit Switch. Any ideas anybody???!!!
