Can I control a Suregrave Excalibur that runs from a serial port, with Mach 3?
If so how?

Hi,
I doubt you can control a serial input machine with Mach3. Aside from which Mach3 is obsolete, all development ceased eight years ago...it still works and lots still use it, but if you want something
current then use Mach4.

Not that Mach4 is going to help you either. Mach, either 3 or 4, produces numeric data to a motion controller and the motion controller generates pulse stream outputs to the motor drivers etc.
The communication from the PC/Mach can be and often is serial but is not compatible with your machine.

If you stripped your machine down so you could access individual motor driver inputs and feed those from a Mach motion control......that would work.
