I created a Virtual XP machine but...

I cannot get it to find my COSMEC Conquest 510. We have an old Desktop that runs XP and it has no problem connecting. We have had to send it out on several occasions to get repaired. Which is why I am trying to create a working virtual machine.
It has the Netbeui protocol on it as does the old computer and I've enable it over TCP/IP. Since the computers are right next to each other, I have been trying to make sure the Settings are as similar as possible. But as far as my VM is concerned the CNC does not exist. Is there something I need to do on the CNC side to make it visible to a 2nd computer? TIA.

What software are you using, Oracle VirtualBox? If so, make sure you have the right Network type in the virtual machine settings. You want "Bridged Adapter" (not "NAT", which is the default).

Also make sure all three IP addresses are in the same subnet (the host computer, the virtual machine, and the CNC).

nothing on CNC side, just Host and VM settings. I would advice turn off the firewall on the host computer.
