Setting Tool Offsets – Will My Approach Work on Fanuc 18M?

    Hey everyone,

I've been setting tool offsets by touching off all tools on the table and inputting the distance from the table to part Z zero in the work offset. It's been my go-to method, and it has worked well for me.

Now, I'm dealing with a Fanuc 18M control, and I'm wondering if this approach can be applied here. Can anyone confirm if this method can be used on the Fanuc 18M, or is there a different process I should follow?

Your insights would be much appreciated!

    Thanks a bunch!

hi, i am not a fanuc guy, but simply initialize 2 tools with different lenght, then init wcs, call them and check position

    is that easy

2 different machines can use same method, as long as their axis and directions are identical; on okuma vmc, z axis is + towards up, and z offset is + towards down / kindly
