What's the different between a CNC Swiss Lathe and a regular CNC lathe?

I'm just wondering what's the difference between these two? I am familar with a regular CNC lathe that has a 3,4, or 6 jaw chuck that you manually put the material into. For instance our machinist uses a Trak Lathe with an 8-tool square turret.

    Thanks

A swiss lathe moves the stock instead of the tool. This works well for thin pieces, as the cutting happens close to the chuck.
On all equipment there are 2 levers...
    Lever "A", and Lever F'in "B"

The swiss type lathes I know use a collet to grab the stock (like the chuck) and a guide bushing to hold the material close to the tool, thus avoiding deflection while cutting.

Check out www.cma-citizen.com, they offer both Swiss and conventional lathes.
