    5A integrated 3 axis TB6600 cnc controller

    Hey! I am new to CNC, I bought a TB6600 CNC controller but it has a parallel port while my laptop can only support USB port. I came across online that I can actually use an Arduino Mega 2560 for GRBL motion control by attaching it to parallel port. I already had Arduino UNO-CNC shield setup but I wanted to get rid of wirings (since I had NEMA 23 motors and I was using drivers that could support them) , I bought 3 axis TB6600 CNC controller to solve this problem but it feels like now I am blank. I bought it from here;

    The problem is I can't understand the Controllers CNC LPT pinout. I have also attached the pic of parallel port along-with the attached parallel port description. I'm extremely sorry if I sound stupid but these things are brand new to me. I would highly appreciate your suggestions in this regard.

    XS = X step pin
    XD = X direction pin
    XL = X limit pin (probably)

    NC = not connected pin, you can ignore these pins
    GD is ground pin, you probably only need to connect in GD pin

    Pm = PWM pin (probably)

    The EE or ET could be the enable pin.

    Ask the supplier for a manual.

    I run my TB6600 drivers at a max of 24 Volt to reduce resonance. If you ever need new drivers, go for digital stepper drivers because digital stepper drivers provide much more torque (power) and are only a bit more expensive.
    The next time, use external drivers so if you smoke one driver, you don't need to replace the full board.
