Hey everyone. Just curious what a DM2400 Retrofitted to run Mach3 is worth. Comes with the PC with software, motion controller, Collets, Vise. It has a Gecko G540, wired to the stock steppers. It is in decent shape. Here are some photos. Thank you!

Honestly, it is very difficult to say because it is very subjective for each person. I've seen people try to market these machines sell for $400 all the way through $5000. Clearly the higher ones sit there for years. When things really do sell, few really know the final price because it isn't published. It is even further complicated by the fact that if people are patient, you can often get a far more capable machine for next to free or even free. This is how I got my DM4400m. But that is a bigger machine and hence more difficult to deal with. But, yet again, if I have to deal with 500 pounds all the way across the country, it is probably easier to deal with 3500 pounds that is 10 miles away *if* I have the space. And, yes, that introduces another variable.

In the end, it really is almost impossible to say "what is this worth" when the only buyers are hobbyists with limited funds. The 2400 is a pretty small machine, which is a plus and a negative. Yours looks to have been fairly well used, but that doesn't mean it is in bad shape. Paint is only one indicator and often not even a huge one. So, I think it really comes down to what *you* want for the machine, not what we think it is worth.

Great reply. Thank you. I understand it is a hard question to answer. I understand Hobbyists only look for certain price points. Other offerings in the hobby category are pretty expensive, and not as heavy. This machine is in great shape mechanically, as you said, Paint is not a good indicator.
