    Hardinge CHNC Video

    https://youtu.be/g-13Umr-9j0?si=fBgByQnk2Fb7qUuk

I saw this video of a CHNC retrofit and it has the slowest and smoothest turret movement I have ever seen on a CHNC.

Has anyone converted one to a servo drive and made it work?

I would love information on what was used and how it was done.

    Thanks Gary

That type of the tool turret seems special, it rotates in horizontal, not vertical.

Thanks, they are kind of special, the originals are driven by an air motor in only 1 direction, but that is definitely a variety of the Hardinge HNC or CHNC Lathes.

I am looking for information on what was used to convert it to servo driven and how it was mounted. Notice in the video it even runs both directions.

    Thanks Gary
