Unhappy help needed please - Multicam 3000 Series Model 2013

    Hi Industry Arena Community,

I'm having an issue with my CNC router (multicam 3000). I was using it and it cut a small piece of aluminum composite which impacted the Z-bit. The machine then faulted and presented me with a Motor Fault (0x 2) - Y drive 2 FAulted axis 0/3000_545_3422_Y Count 5: Drive is OK. Safety Stop Basis Tracking Error. I've contacted support and they suspect Y drive replacement... Upon putting the machine on Motion mechanic I'm presented with a *halt function active* and when I try to run the machine in override mode, it moves along the X axis, and the Z axis but not the Y. Upon hard homing the Z will sometimes try to home in, but it would be lost and presents me with *find Limits Failed*. It would then stop the homing procedure. I've checked the cables (y and Z) they seem to be working fine ie not burnt.

The Drives in the back of the machine all seem to be running a similar blink pattern except for the Y drive. Could this be further troubleshooted? Can anyone provide me with any assistance, please?

Blink count 5 is normally a mechanical issue either your servo motor or possibly your bearing cars. I would with the machine off try to push the Y axis and see if you are able to move it with relative ease, if you really have to push hard you have a mechanical bind somewhere.
