A new day a new problem, haas mill

Now my spindle doesn't want to orientate on my 95 haas vf0.

The spindle just goes around and the pin clicks then I get a alarm.

I took the cover off and noticed I was leaking air from around my lock pin. So I re o ringed and fixed that but still does same thing.

My encoder belt doesn't look to be in great condition but of course can't get one for at least a week.

Does the encoder belt have to be timed ?. I'm wondering if it skipped a bit. When I did a search on the topic I seem some one mentioned poor belt condition can cause this same thing.

    Any Ideas?

    Thanks

I don't remember the encoder belt having any effect on spindle orientation.

Water in your air lines, low air pressure, air leaks, gummed up solenoids and/or shot-pin assembly can all slow the orientation process enough to cause an alarm. You could increase the delay time for the alarm (Parameter 66), or you could slow down the orientation speed (Parameter 73 & 74). Make sure you record the original values...
