Clamping Pressure For 304 SS Tubing

Hi, I have a job coming up where I need to machine some 304 Stainless tubing. The OD is 2.5" (64 mm), but I do not know offhand what the ID is. I have had no luck trying to find a chart or any useful information on what to limit clamping pressure to for tubing to prevent deformation. I was wondering if I could get some suggested pressures based on wall thickness. Currently we are using hard jaws, and I don't believe my boss wants to buy soft jaws specifically for this job. The machine is an ST-40 if that makes any difference.

What pressure ranges should I go for the following wall thicknesses:
    0.125" (3.1 mm)
    0.25" (6.4 mm)
    0.375" (9.5 mm)
    0.5" (13 mm)

Make a stepped bung to fit in the end, and if the OD is not to be machined... make soft jaws to avoid damaging the finish
You could also make a stepped bung with centre for a tailstock centre.
