Question about Leadshine DM556 Stepper Motor Driver

Hello, I'm new to forum (and Arduino) so I hope I'm asking this correctly.

Does anyone have any advice/guidance for interfacing a UNO to a Leadshine DM556 driver?

I'm planning to use a NEMA 34 motor to drive the Z-axis on small mill. No positioning, just want to control speed and direction.

    Regadrs,
    JD

Re: Question about Leadshine DM556 Stepper Motor Driver

You can connect the UNO direct to the DM556.
The DM556 has optocoupler inputs that will work direct connected to the UNO.
connect the +5v of the uno to PULL + and DIR +
connect any two digital outputs to PULL - and DIR -
connect your motor and power supply to the DM556
program the Arduino and go for it
