    Motors don’t back home switches.

    Mach4
    Smoothstepper ESS
    Gecko g540

I’m in the process of setting up my system.
My motors work properly. Dir and speed and distance.

When I press “home ref all”
My motors will home to X, Y and Z.
Z will home and back off the micro switch, as it’s suppose to.

X and Y will home to the switches but will NOT back off the micro switches.
I can jog them away with no problems.

Has anyone had these issues when setting up their system?
Or does anyone know where I can look to resolve this?

    Thx EZ

I have had this happen in Mach4, check to make sure the home switches are enabled and configured correctly. This is definitely a configuration error not hardware

What is this setting and what does it mean? I saw it on warp9 page in the set up pages.
    Thx EZ

First when you start up Mach4 go up to the top and configure plugin. Now select ESS plugin, it will bring up a menu. Check the inputs and make sure the inputs with home switches are configured to the right pins. Once all of that looks correct, exit that configuration and go configure MACH4, again check the inputs and make sure they show they are configured correctly. Now go into the homing configuration screen inside of Mach4 and make sure that is all enabled and configured correctly. I do not have MACH4 in front of me or I could send you screen shots.
