Hi Guys, I haven't used my CNC mill in the last few months and when I started it up today I found that while the Y and Z jog and move are fine, the X controls will only move in one direction, whichever of the directions I click on. I updated the planet CNC software and the board firmware, but it is still the same

Any ideas? It was working fine last time I used it, and I have not disconnected or reconnected anything other than the mains power

I saw the similar threads to mine and read up on them. In every case they seemed to recommend going through all the wiring for security, which is what I did. It has fixed the issue, there were some of the screw clamps that were not as tight as they should have been

You'll just have to troubleshoot. Controller, wiring and steppers.
Check all cables and wiring for loose wire or connection. If yo have a multimeter check wire continuity.

If you have a spare motor that makes it a little easier to check them.
Swap stepper motor with a different one to see if it's motor or something else.
Swap connections on driver board to see if it's driver or wiring.

It's just a simple matter of checking and eliminating possibilities.
