    B Solid 5 Axis Programming

    Hey everyone,

I am looking for someone who has good experience with B Solid programming, especially with 5-axis or 3+2 axis . I have been working as a CNC specialist in the wood industry for several years and now I am in a company that uses B Solid as CAM software which is quite different to what I'm used to. Due to the lack of tutorials or a comprehensive manual from Biesse, I am finding it difficult to get into more complex programming things
For example, I would like to program the machining shown in the video. Does anyone know how to do this and can perhaps send me a B Solid file as an example? That way, I can examine it and learn from it which would be the best way. I know that Biesse overs Courses but here in Germany, they are ridiculously expensive

Additionally, I would like to know where I can find ready-made macros for B Solid. Biesse only offers standard macros such as drilling holes, Clamex, Lamello etc.

    Cheers

    Hello,

What kind of macros do you need? We also have the opportunity to offer webinars for bSolid.

    Hi Sami

In general basic macros for woodworking such as format, sink cutout or also a proper parametric macro for hole lines & concealed hinges for system 32. The company I'm working at got some macros after the included trainee of one week but those macros are not well done.It feels like they are made for DIY issues, not for professional use. I know I can program it on my own and I already started to do so.but I thought there is a source of macros which would be convenient I'm used to Homag CNCs and they offer a wide range of helpful macros, so that's why thought it might be the same for b-solid since it's an actual interesting machining software.Maybe you would like to share some macros?

    Cheers

    Hello,

As I told, we can organize webinar trainings, if you are interested. In addition, we can offer ready-made macros that are professional level. Unfortunately, these macros are not free, because nobody works for free. Every well-made macro takes time, and it can't give it away for free. You can find some examples of macros in this link:
    https://hitechedu.fi/shop/c140-furni...ion-p1-en.html

We also have countless different macros that cannot be found behind the link. If necessary, we can also make macros for the customer's needs, if the customer does not know how to make them himself.

    Hi Sami

Thank you for posting the link, I was looking for a page like that. Unfortunately I'm not used to pay money for macros since big companies such as homag offers them for free for Woodwop. Also, the shown macros at the shop are easy to do and in my opinion absolutely overpriced. But that's out of my business. By talking about customized macros, how much it would cost to get a b-solid file with the programing of the 5axis machining shown in the video above? With that file, I could teach myself how it's done.

    Hello,

I do know very well that Homag offers free macros for download, but these only serve as examples and are not valid as such. You can ask for something suitable for direct production, but then you will find a price for it.

A macro suitable for direct production and a parametric one, how long does it take you to make one? First, find the necessary information for dimensioning, prepare a macro, test and ensure the functionality of the macro? Is the price expensive if production stops all this time?

If you are looking for such a 5-axis machining example file, why not ask Biesse directly? Making a piece like that directly with bSolid takes some time. For this reason, I recommend first getting a 3d model of the part produced with one of the following programs, Solidworks, Inventor, Catia, etc. After that, you can start making toolpaths for it with bsolid.
