What is the advantage of adding your specific Machine Type in the library

I have been using fusion 360 cam for my Haas DM-2 for years and just discovered that I never went through the process of setting up that specific machine in the machine configeration section in.

I do have the correct post processor for my Pre NG controller.

Just wondering if there are any huge advantage to going through the process?

    Thanks,

    Kent

Probably none... if you have only one machine.
If you had more than one, then you would need to select what machine you are writing code for.

Thanks for your response.... The reason I asked was things have been working so well with my current process and post processor.... and I could envision spending hours and hours cleaning up the mess that I found myself in changing things up.

    Thanks again...
