I'm running with 2 seperate phase perfect phase converters.

I have my scroll air compressor hooked up to one along with with a Haas super mini mill ( no issues )

On the other phase converter I have a DM-2 ( no issues )

In the past I tried to have my DM-2 on the unit that had the air compressor, but every time the air compressor would turn on it would alarm low voltage

So I moved it to the other unit and everything was fine.

But recently I sold my mini mill and replaced it with a DM-1 and now the issue has popped up again.... ( when the compressor turns on my DM-1 alarms low voltage and turns off ( This happens even when the mill is just sitting idle )

My output voltage from the phase converter is 242v
When the compressor turns on the output voltage drops to 238v

I have my wiring on the Haas going to the taps that have a range from ( 227 to 243 v )

So I'm wondering if there is a setting on the machine that I can loosen up the voltage parameters that would trigger the alarm?

The DM-1 is a 2018 with NG controller

Just an update on this.... I talked to my local Haas dealer and they said that when you check the voltage on TB2 Output ( this is the terminals just to the left of the incoming Taps ) that there is a 10% range in voltage variation, so I checked that when the compressor turned on and it looks like it's just pushing it for a split second outside that limit.

So I'm looking at a couple of options..

Option 1 is to put this machine on the same phase converter that the DM2 is on, and that would leave just the air compressor on the second phase converter.

Option 2 is to look at adding a soft start onto the compressor.
I don't have any experiance with soft starters, so I'm not sure if that's even an option on my compressor. ( Eastwood QST-80/120 )

So if anyone has any advice on soft starters please share...

I ended up moving the CNC over to my second phase converter so now the air compressor is on the phase converter by itself and that did the trick....
