    Looking for a particular mechanism/lock

So, I am looking for a quick release pin, such as this: http://www.halder.de/produkte/auswah...bmenu=products

But, I need to find one that needs a key to operate. It doens't need to be high strength, just enough to prevent removal without inserting a key. Something with a shank of less than .250" should work

Or.... instead of that mechanism, what about a lock that I could install in a small lever? (less than .625" in diameter)

I am making a quick detach luggage rack for my motorcycle, and I would like to make it somewhat theft proof.....

    TIA

hmmm... it's a bit bigger than what I'd like, but it would work. Thanks! I will still keep looking for the "ideal" unit, but this is pretty close.....

How about a small padlock, that could do the trick.

    Best regards

Yes, that would work. If I was just looking for something for my own use, I'd go that route. Since I am hoping to one day perhaps, maybe, who knows....sell them, I need to go for a clean look.

    Gearsoup,
Check for cam locks at McMaster-Carr catalog at www.mcmaster.com this should give you an idea of what is available on the market.

May I suggest you also take a look on how the sport racking people use their keylocks

    Best regards
