I bought a non working Wells Index mill with a Bandit control and want to use a PC to run it. The Bandit is not working and the seller knows that the stepper motors are good but one of the driver/translators is bad too. The cheapest way to get up and running would be to buy a drive and reuse the 2 good ones. The question is will a breakout board work with my Summit/Dana 8085 drivers and if not is there something I can interface the two together? The wires to the drive from the Bandit are marked GRD, DIR, PULSE, and FREE. The only comments in the manual about the 4 terminals are, DIR= (high/low) and PULSE= (normally high (12v) low to step).
