Steppers - High or Standard torque

    Hi all,

What's the differents between a High Torque & Standard Torque steppers (Nema 34's)?

Also, if a Controller says "current rating: 8 amps per phase" is that a per motor or total?

    Thanks, Will

High torque has more torque They're usually made differently, and usually cost more. But the main difference, is they have more torque.

It depends. A lot of unipolar drivers are multiple axis. Does it say how many axis'? A Gecko is only 1 motor.
