    MONITOR PROBLEMS

Ok. I got past the soft overtravel problem. Now another problem has arrived. It seems like one step forward and 2 back with this machine.
This is a W&S WSU with a Fanuc 10TF control. The monitor just started going blank after it is turned on a few minutes. I can power off then back on and it will work a few more minutes then go black again. The jog buttons still function when its blank so I guess there is no alarm. Just a problem with the monitor or power supply? Can anyone point me in the right direction to find the cause of this problem?
    Thanks,
    Keith

That symptom looks like a dry electrolitic capacitor.
Check the electrolitic caps in range 10-100uF x 150-350V in monitor PCB.
The ideal instrument to do this is a ESR meter, but surely you wil find only few ones, so replace them directly.
