    Entities Summary

    Guys,
Will V22 tell me the surface area of something that I've drawn? Specifically, I need to know the surface area for some cooling slots to meet airflow requirements.

These slots are 3/16" wide and vary in length. I highlighted one, then clicked Entities Summary and it told me it was 2.26. Since the slot is only 1/2" long, it's not square inches. Does that mean that it's in Metric?

Is there a better way to determine the surface area?

It does appear the area is based on mm and not inches. Devide by 25.4 to get the area. However the area only shows for chains and not for solids.

The measure one entity function will give you the area of a surface or the volume of a solid.
