    Moving Fadal 6030

We are getting ready to move or 6030 in the next month or so. What exactly needs to be done before we do so. I know we should block up the Z axis somehow. Does anyone know a good procedure for doing so. Any tips are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

You will need to locate or make two (2) locking bars for the counter balance. There are two (2) holes in the column casting. Jog the Z-Axis slowly while another person installs the locking bars thru the holes in the casting and the counter balance. I then jog the table near the back of the machine and centered in the X-Axis. If you do not have the original 'fixture' for locking the Z-Axis to the table you can use a 4x4 piece of wood about 8" to 12" long. Slowly jog the Z-Axis down to the wood or the locking 'fixture'. Be sure not to rest the Z-Axis on the spindle nose. I usually rest the Z-Axis near the bolt hole for the 'fixture' if I use the wood block method.

The above is over and above removing the obvious items such as power, air, coolant tank, etc.
