    Encoder wiring hookup help

Working on wiring everything up. Came to a dilema.

My enconder on the servo has these outputs.

    1- Ground
    2- Ch1
    3- ChA
    4- Vcc
    5- ChB

The rutex drive has these inputs.

    1-+5V
    2- A Non Inverse
    3- A Inv.
    4- B Non Inverse
    5- B Inv.
    6- Shield

    9- 0V/Ground

The ground and Vcc ones are easy to match.

Not sure where CH1 from encoder needs to go into Rutex if anyplace

And do I hook up to Non Inverse (my guess) or Inverse side?

The Ch1 I guess should be ChI for Index pulse. Don't think you need to hook that one up.

From the Rutex R990H manual: "The single ended TTL encoder should be connected to one input only and a pull down resistor (470 - 1000 ohms) should be connected to other input."

So you can connect your encoder outputs to either the inverting or non inverting inputs on your Rutex card. Connect 470-1000 ohm resistors between the unused inputs and ground.
