    Old Heidenhain DRO Help!?

    Hello everyone,

I have an old Heidenhain Pos-E-Touch II DRO that I want to use with some linear encoders. The problem with it is that the encoder dividers aren't set up correctly, so it is reading twice the distance it actually travels on the DRO.

There must be some way of programming it to accept different encoders, etc. The user interface is pretty poor, but I was hoping that someone may have a user manual or something. I searched google with no results

Can anyone help me with this old dinosaur?

Hi, we have an old Heidenhain readout on our boring mill, and didn't have the manual for it. We called them and they sent a manual in the mail for no cost. I would try this route because the manufacturer was extremely kind to us, as they stand behind their product.

Thank you! I will try this on Monday, very good advice !
I'm going to try to find out how to get into the parameter entry mode, I know that it is decoding the quadrature signals at two different dividing factors..
