Hi am not sure if this is the right forum to post this question appologies if not.

I have a DAMICHI DX35 CNC Lathe using the FANIC 10TE-F Controler, I cant get it to talk to my pc,

What I need to know is how do I configure the Fanic to correctly output the serial codes ie set to baud rate etc etc the manual talks of 5001 ~ 5003 NC codes .

What is the correct RS232 Pin Configuration to achive coms.

I read some posts which quote the following pin to pin config but I was not sure if these were correct for my 10TE-F fanic?

>Almost all Fanucs (including the system 6) have identical >pinouts:

>pin 2 = Send data (output from CNC)
>pin 3 = Receive data (input to CNC)
>pin 4 = Request to Send (handshake output from CNC)
>pin 5 = Clear to Send (handshake input to CNC
>pin 6 = Data set ready (input to CNC)
>pin 8 = Carrier detect (input to CNC)
>pin 20 = Data terminal ready (output from CNC)
