Im pretty new to the CNC scene so excuse me if this question seems a little silly, but im a bit confused.
I am currently engaged in a project where im trying to upgrade a Grizzly
G0602 lathe, along with a ZX45 mill, to CNC machines. I have already purchased 3 G320X drives, a PMDX-126 breakout board, and a PMDX-107 isolated speed control board for the ZX45 and have yet to buy any equipment for the G0602.
The question is:
Do I really have to buy a seperate breakout board for the G0602?
I have noticed that on the PMDX website that you can daisy chain a PMDX-133to PMDX-126. Since I dont plan on running both machines at once, can I just do this and get away with not having to set up a whole new controller?
Ive read through different forum postings that "Mach3 allows multiple profiles for different machine setups" and that it is indeed possible, but ive also read that it can damage your machine's components.
One more question...
Can someone explain or refer a book that explains the importance, pros, and cons of isolated input and output boards? The CNC books that I have purchased really dont explain what it is that they actually do.
Thank You.
