ghettodrive. Sounds tough and easy on the pocket. In the (unlikely) event the name is selected give the drives to the first person who used the term in this thread.
Hopefully it wasn't one of the guys from gecko

edit/ It was a gecko employee LOL.

    G251 Shoestring

You can tie them together for multi-axis control, and it also describes the budget required!

Ok, I already submitted my entry but I couldn't resist a bit of sarcasm... Because the G250 is so small, yet super-functional, how about the "G-Spot"?

How many thousand stepper motor drive customers are here on the CNCZone?

The reason why forum users are asking for updates is because they need the drives, not to hear about bigger or larger OEM customers getting them.

Having a reliable affordable product is awesome, treating customers equally also counts.

One of the guys mentioned "why would you care about the person that only purchases three or four drives", that is a statement of complete ignorance.

That person better hope he is not treated that way when he has a issue with a supplier.

Beating a dead horse or debating these issues are a waste of time.
    Jalessi,

I do hope you understand a production cycle; a manufacturer takes care of those that are the proven customers out of loyalty, and that would be the OEMs. We send them the first run as a courtesy. You ask for an update, and I tell you that we sent them out to the OEMs, and then you whine. I apologize for being short here, but it appears there is no winning with you. I am going to make a crazy assumption here, and say that you are not the voice for the silent majority; most people understand that you take care of the OEMs ASAP, because without them we would go out of business. Keeping them happy is priority number one.

There is nothing unfair about this at all. Have you ever wondered how stores seem to always have an item in stock the day it goes on sale? That is because they got early copies, copies that the general public had held from them until a certain date.

Now that that is resolved, what is your entry for the contest? You may be lucky enough to get some OEM drives before they go on sale to the general public.

I am seeing a lot of good entries! I am writing them down in a Word document with only the page they can be found on so there will be no bias for or against a certain entry during the vote because of the name attached. Keep them coming! There are still four days left, and an entire weekend to get "creative"!

I was going to say the "g-spot" but that would not be good,

    How about the "spa drive"

Pronounce the S_P_A drive delineating the inspired in the spa portion of the design.
